DMCA

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a federal law that protects the rights of copyright owners in digital content. It establishes a procedure for copyright owners to notify website and internet service providers (ISPs) of any copyright infringement occurring on their platforms. Upon receiving a DMCA notification, the website or ISP is legally obligated to remove or disable access to the infringing material.
